mbz Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 Thanks! There has been a change of plans and there will now only be two of us staying for those two nights. I would like to bid on Priceline, I will repost in the PRICELINE forum.
mbz Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 Hello,I need a bidding strategy for 10/12-10/14 in NYC. Would prefer 4* but 3 1/2 * and 3* is fine too. I am thinking max $170 per night which looks realistic judging from others' wins. All areas in Manhattan except I am not sure about UWS and Downtown-SOHO-Financial District- I don't want to end up getting something too far north (i.e. in the 80s-90s-100s) or south (i.e. financial district) but would love SOHO - but if that is not a concern given my preferred star rating, please let me know. Please let me know if you need further info. Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Please keep all posts for this stay in the same thread. You can end up anywhere within the PRICELINE zone that you select... so if you don't want to end up in the Financial Distirct, then you shouldn't include the Downtown-Soho-Financial zone in your bidding. Same goes for UES and UWS.Please let us know the names of the zone(s) you're willing to accept (by PRICELINE name) rather than the zones you're not willing to accept as this avoids any confusion. As well, what is your goal for this stay... are you looking for the highest rated hotel you can get for a $170 maximum bid OR are you looking for the least expensive 3* (or 3.5*) hotel? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.
