Hello since i found this site and the fl hotel list quite useful I figured I'd share my bidding experience. Since I'm the kinda gal that likes to buy designer threads at rock bottom prices, eat the finest cuisine with buy one get one coupons. I figured why not big for a luxury stay for budget prices. :) i started my bid low at 44 dollars and of course got rejected in the Resort/4* category. At first I only had WDW Vicinity selected then I added Universal still no luck. I was actually aiming to stay at a resort until I read mixed reviews on the hiton WDW resort (outdated according to some posts) So After I continued to get rejected I raised upwards gradually to 68 dollars I wasnt planning to bid this high (ya i know its still not at all a lot) but every prior slight increase got rejected. So finally I put 68.. At this point I'd selected 4* and Resort the areas were wdw (figuring 5 resort, 2 4stars at that location), Orlando Downtown (only 1 4 star), Orlando airport (none in my category), Orlando east( none only 2 stars) Sand lake (also only two), and Universal (which had 1 resort, and 3 4* listed). So i figured the odds of landing a nice place were quite good. Finally the "congrats ur booked" page popped up and it said Westin Imagine. At first I was a lil nervous with this because honestly i've never seen or heard of it. Anyone stay there before? THen i looked at the website and it looked pretty nice. The only thing is it doesnt have all that much for young children from what I can see. But never the less for 68 bucks how can I complain I'll update this once I get there and let yall know how the hotel is. I almost placed a big in the 3.5 category but it seemed like more of a gamble since there are more properties listed, plus I'd already selected the airport and downtown orlando which have 3.5 hotels but not 4 star(it woudlnt let me un-check darnit!) I didnt really want to be too far out from the parks even tho i'm sure I could have gotten a lower price. I only started out with 1 night there is an option on the confirmation that allows a bidder to add additional nights which is pretty neat. I can see how this priceline bidding can get quite addictive. On Expedia the price for this hotel was 179, or the westin website 227 and change + tax, on priceline where u buy it without bidding the price was 149 so either way I think I did alright we'll see when i get there lol. :)
