Ive attempted to bid for a 4 or 5 star in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo with the following losses:

$90

$95

$100

$109

Any suggestions? The Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku is listed at $142 is there another hotel in the area that is 4 or 5 star which is on PRICELINE driving up the cost?

Given New Years Eve, hotels may not be releasing deeply discounted inventory to the opaque suppliers, instead waiting to see if they can sell the rooms themselves at a higher price. Is the $142 at the Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku refundable?

I ended up booking through Agoda and stayed @ the b ikebukuro for $119 a night.
