Hi, i need some guidance..

We're going to Vegas for my 25th birthday (15-18th) or probably 'til the 20th...

I am looking for a 3-5* hotel, i want to now when can i get the best deals for those and which do you recommend.

We will be partying every night, and we are also interested in going to either Blue Man Group or a Cirque Du Soleil.

Can someone suggest or list some of these hotels starting from the best?

Luxor

Bellagio

MGM Grand

Excalibur

Flamingo

Paris

Wynn

Mirage

Mandalay Bay

Welcome to the site and happy early birthday. :)

To be able to research, we do need confirmed dates, as rates can vary sharply from day-to-day.

Additionally, there is no way to guarantee a particular hotel on either PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, as the trade-off for cheaper prices is the need to be more flexible where you stay.

Let us know your thoughts and then we can go from there with other suggestions.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.

Hi!

Thanks for the super early birthday wishes! :)

The dates are how i said in the msg before.

My actual bday event is from the 15th-18th, but we are going to another event that starts the 17th and ends the 20th,

so it'll be great if we could find a good deal for 15th-20th! :)

Let me know and if there are any suggestions, im more than happy to hear 'em! :o

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

What will be the determining factor if you are able to stay the entire length of your stay?

What is your budget per nite? (before fees and taxes) What are your goals for this stay... are you looking for the least expensive hotel, the best value, the highest rated, etc?

Wow, hard question! haha

I'm definitely looking for all of the ones you mentioned...

Let's say i'm interested in the least expensive from the highest rated. Does that make sense? I'm by no means interested in Circus Circus, or any of those (although i think they're nice).

Let's say my overall budget could be around $500. But it could vary if needed and worth it.

Thanks,

Hi,

I was wondering if January is high season in vegas?

Also, what would be a good starting rate @ PRICELINE or HOTWIRE to start bidding for the dates of 1/15 to 1/20 for the following hotels:

MGM, Mirage, Ceasars, Luxor, Bellagio, Paris, Mandalay or Wynn.

Thanks in advance,

With PRICELINE you can't bid on a specific hotel, you much be able to accept any hotel in the zone you select at the minimum star rating you choose. Given the hotels you listed, there are 'problems' bidding these zones when you're looking for a specific property... if you bid 4* in the Strip South Zone the Westin is a possibillity and is located slightly off-strip... is this a property you're willing to accept? When bidding 5* in the Strip North zone the Trump is a possibility, again, located off-strip and doesn't have a casino... is this an acceptable property?

I believe HOTWIRE may be a better option for you since you can at least take an educated guess as to what you may received before your purchase. As well, there is no bidding invovled with HOTWIRE... for additional info see this I've Never Used Priceline or Hotwire Before thread.

What are your thoughts on any of the following:

Paris - $119/nite

Caessars - $149/nite

Overall Paris generally gets better reviews than the Luxor, but i would prefer the Paris for location alone... more centrally located vs. the Southern end of the Strip for the Luxor.

If you search HOTWIRE for your dates there is a 4* in the Central Strip zone for $119/nite with the following amentiies:

Amenities: Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis, Spa

and a TA rating of 4.0.

This matches previous reports for the Paris so that would be my best guess.

It all sounds great, but after really looking at the Paris (call me crazy) i don't love it that much>

Do you think there are any other good options?

Posted

I think that is the best value, but if you let us know what it is about the Paris that doesn't appeal to you, perhaps we can find something that you think is the best value for this stay.

I also mentioned Caesars Palace above, and while some people love the property, i'm not such a fan, so if you can try to be more specific what it is that you're looking for from this stay, as well as what you're not looking for, we can try to be of further help.
