Rhine-and-Roses Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I am bidding for a friend for a 4* in Cambridge for the 23-25 October. This is a parent weekend at Harvard and hotels are running high. I used all the tricks to bid from $100 to $140 in $5 increments, all unsuccessful. Not even a counteroffer. Will keep trying and will post if successful, or if she agrees to go into Boston where she can get the Westin Copley for under $120.
thereuare Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 You may also be successful with antoher ~$20 or so for a 4*... or at amounts already bid if willing to try for a 3.5*.Keep us udpated and let us know if we can be of further help along the way.Good luck. Rhine-and-Roses Posted September 15, 2009 Author Report Posted September 15, 2009 My friend decided to bid on a 3 1/2 star last night after I gave her the bad news on the 4*. She got the Hyatt for $75 per night. Mixed emotions- great price but the hotel is not ideal, nor is the location. I am unsure whether she used your link, but I asked her to.
