Priceline Hotel: 2.5* Minneapolis-St Paul (West) SpringHill Suites

Bid $45 and 2* in Mpls-St Paul (West) hoping to get into TownePlace Suites in St Louis Park. I was upgraded to 2.5* SpringHill Suites - the Marriott cousin next door. SpringHill Suites provide a decent breakfast and have a pool and work out room with free weights and machines. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I prefer the TownePlace Suites for longer stays as they have a full kitchen in each suite. SpringHill Suites (and many if not most hotels) puts PRICELINE customers in less desirable rooms i.e. obstructed views, windows with blown seals, across from the ice machine, overlooking noisy freeway etc. In any hotel, even if you are a PRICELINE customer, don't hesitate to ask for a different room if you are not satisfied. Also, Priceline adds about $10 to your bid for fees that they keep. I moved from the SpringHill Suites to TownePlace Suites after this stay and it was less expensive to book the room with the AAA discount then to bid another $45 in this area. Anyway, I do like both of these hotels and have been satisfied with everything I have booked on PRICELINE through betterbidding.com. Thanks to those who take the time to post wins.
