AaronJB Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Seeing a different TS 4* when I search for these dates, but the MTE 4* is likely either the Grand Hyatt or Intercontinental Barclay.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase.
thereuare Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I am celebrating my 50th birthday so it needs to be special.Morgans has a 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating (excellent) and is within the top 10% of user reviewed properties in NYC. As far as an opaque purchase goes, where you can only choose from what is offered, i'm not how much better it's going to get.Is there something in particular you're looking for? While you hunt for something better this hotel may disappear from the offerings entire, and given the postivie reviews and high TA rating, i thought it fit the bill. I am not really that particular (clean, midtown, decent tripadvisor rating). I just enjoy getting the best bargain possible. I probably have too much time on my hands lol. I am also looking at the Affina Manhattan on the Affinia website for $248 a night, which looks like a good deal. I have heard that you are more likely to be upgraded if you purchase through the hotel website although am not sure if that is true.
AaronJB Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I think the issue is that while the hunt is fun, you may see deals disappear if hotel inventories drop. The Affinia Manhattan is $262.33 on Orbitz.com, but if you use coupon code FABSAVE10, you get 10% off = $236.10Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz.com links to start your purchase.
