Hotwire Hotel: Asking for hotel advice for Philadelphia

Will be in Philadelphia for one night, night of Sept 16. The two of us are looking for a non-expensive (prefer to spend less than $100 all-inclusive) option either in the Olde Town/Penn's Landing or Center City East areas. Olde Town is a bit on the expensive side, but Center City East seems to cover too big of an area (being on the eastern part of the Center City East Area would be ok, but am worried that might end up on the western part).

Have found on Hotwire for Sept 16/09:

1) Olde Town/Penn's Landing

3 stars, $94+taxes and fees = $112.90

2) Center City East

3 stars, $75+taxes and fees = $91.51

We've both been to Philly before, so am just thinking of spending a casual day strolling around town... no particularly pressing plans. I will need to get to Newark Int'l Airport on evening of 9/17, and my friend will need to go back to DC (probably by bus). Any suggestions on where to stay would be extremely appreciated.

The Olde Town property has not yet been reported or identified (and appears over your budget so i didn't look too much further), but the 3* City Center East matches both the Doubletree and the Hilton Garden Inn, so either of these would be my best guess.
