gallis Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 I called the Hilton to confirm the reservation and ask for a non-smoking double room. They said that the reservation specifies a twin room, and since it's a non-changeable rate, they cannot change the reservation to a double, and told me to contact HOTWIRE if I wanted to change it.They did say they will note a request for a double bed but that they could not change the reservation itself. They did not have a problem to guarantee a non-smoking room.Anyone had a similar problem?
thereuare Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Did you call HOTWIRE has the hotel suggested?I'd call HOTWIRE, let them know that as per their website you contacted the hotel to make a bedding request, and was told that you needed to call HOTWIRE to make the request, which you're now doing, and if they would call the hotel on your behalf to request a 'double' room.Let us know how it goes. gallis Posted September 15, 2009 Author Report Posted September 15, 2009 Well I've called HOTWIRE and they said that they could not change the reservation since it is non cancelable.Once the reservation is put into the Hilton global reservation system it will be entered as either a twin or a double and from then on it couldn't be changed. All they could do was call the hotel and put in a request for a double (which I did by myself already).
thereuare Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Hopefully the hotel will be able to accomodate your request upon arrival.Good luck and enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
