vsdecker Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 I would like to stay in USE as I'd like to win the Grand Hyatt and tried today and bid up to $80 for USE. Am I bidding too early? Any advice is appreciated. Would be willing to bid USW if I can get a decent 4*. Thanks.
AaronJB Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)What would be your budget per night for hotel? What are the zones you would be willing to accept? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links when you are ready to purchase.
vsdecker Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 $100 would be my budget. I would like USE or theatre district which I believe is USW but I don't want Nob Hill. Do you think it's too early to bid?
thereuare Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 $100 would be my budget. Is this your maximum bid price or your "all-in" price including fees and taxes? Please let us know your maximum bid (before fees and taxes)...USW but I don't want Nob HillYou can't pick and choose different parts of the zones... the zone boundares are "take it or leave it". If you select a given zone you need to be willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone. Are you willing to include the USW-Nob Hill zone or do you want to restrict your bidding to only USE?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. vsdecker Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 For right now I'd like my maximum bid to be $100 plus fees and taxes and we want to be in the Union Square area, near the theatre district. So I guess USE and USW? Thanks for your help.
slruud Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 HOTWIRE has a 4* in USW for $89/nite before taxes and fees. So you should be able to undercut that with PRICELINE. Good luck.
vsdecker Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 I saw that and it fits Parc 55. Is that a good location and good hotel? I think I will try USW - what do you think I should start my bidding at? Thanks.
thereuare Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 ...USW but I don't want Nob HillSo I guess USE and USW?Please confirm... you're fine with a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the USW-Nob Hill zone? We'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. vsdecker Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 Yes - after looking at the Priceline map I am okay with the USW/Nob Hill area. Thanks for all of your help.
vsdecker Posted September 12, 2009 Author Report Posted September 12, 2009 What should I start my bidding at for USW or USE? Should I check Priceline vacations also like Beav suggested to someone else? Thanks.
thereuare Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 At the 4* level you have FOUR re-bid zones.
