nikelover33 Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 how is it that a 3.5 star is cheaper than a 2.5 star in the airport area in SF? How the heck am I supposed to know what I am getting? Also there are 2 hotels that are the same star level in the same area the are 2 differnt prices. I am new to HOTWIRE. HELP!!!!
yellowdog Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding :) Everything is about revenue. The 3.5* might be a bigger hotel with fewer bookings than the 2.5*. It could be as simple like that.If you would like help with an ID so please post your dates and the amenties HOTWIRE associates with the hotel you're looking at and we'll have a look at this.If any other questions so feel free to post.Yellowdog.
nikelover33 Posted September 11, 2009 Author Report Posted September 11, 2009 Thanks I just went for it and got the Crowne Plaza SFO a very nice hotel for $74.00 a night and I am covering the Presidents cup Golf Tournament as a freelance photographer and that hotel is as close as it gets for 1/2 the price that everyone else is paying. I am even closer than anyone else. Great price for a 4 star in my opinion. I love Crowne Hotels.
