hcm Posted September 10, 2009 Report Posted September 10, 2009 I usually get what I want on Priceline, but this time it didn't work out and I want folks to know since rejected bids are good to know about too.I have a meeting at the convention center, and the Catalina is a very inexpensive 3* hotel only 2-3 blocks away. Catalina is often available on priceline.Catalina has gone for as little as $40, but recently $52, so I started at $52 for a 2 night stay 9/13 - 9/15:Selected South Beach 3* for $52, rejectedadded re-bid zone, raised to $57, rejected.Waited a day...Selected South Beach 3* for $62, rejectedadded re-bid zone, raised to $67, rejected. Now, I can get the Catalina for $78 on Expedia, and know for sure I can stay there - so at this point I left Priceline and bought it from Expedia.Sometimes you don't get what you want!
