Pider Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Heya,New Here, Trying to figure out if I can get an Idea of which hotels these deals are for: (Dates Oct 8-15)1- Midtown Central 4*, $229, fitness, restaurant, business, internet2- Midtown East 4*, $256, fitness, restaurant, business, internet3- Times Square 3.5*, $265, fitness, restaurant, business, internetThanks In advance.
AaronJB Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 Welcome to the site. The 4* MTC could be a number of different properties - Helmsley Park Lane, Flatotel, Royalton, Sheraton or the Warwick. Unfortunately, there's no way to narrow that list down.4* MTE = likely Omni Berkshire3.5* TS = likely Millennium Broadway. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
Pider Posted September 9, 2009 Author Report Posted September 9, 2009 Thank you for the response. If I would know for sure the second option is Omni Berkshire I would take that one. However, now that I think I know how to interperet the list, I noticed the other chance I have is getting W New York.4* W New York (previously 4.5*)Amenities: Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa(Restaurant added when Boutique removed)(without Spa same as Omni and Doubletree)Boutique and Spa Are lined out (Doesnt show on paste)The chance of Getting that one is preventing me from picking that option.Am I interpereting this correctly? Or is it truely the Omni for this choice? Thanks in Advance.
AaronJB Posted September 9, 2009 Report Posted September 9, 2009 If you look at the detail page (click "continue") for the 4* MTE property, there is a 4/5 tripadvisor rating showing. That would be a match for the Omni, and definitely doesn't match the rating of the W.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
Pider Posted September 14, 2009 Author Report Posted September 14, 2009 CONFIRMATION: I purchased 4* Midtown East (10/8-10/15) $249 (GLADLY USED HOTWIRE LINK FROM THIS WEBSITE)It Was the Omni Berkshire, which I was expecting, and therefore I am happy with.I was hoping to get lower cost with priceline, but I bid up to $230 for 4* in TSQ,MTW,MTE and I didnt get anything. So it is what it is.Thanks Aaron for your valuable help. Especially the Trick about looking at the trip advisor Rating to narrow the search. I will definately use that in the future.I'll be back to this forum for my next trip. Thanks.
thereuare Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see that you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results.I also often recommend users in this area give Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) a try for breakfast as it's a short walk from this hotel and has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a relatively inexpensive breakfast among locals.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
