Priceline Hotel: Help on 3.5* (MTE or ESB) 10/7-10/11

I'm looking for a 3.5* hotel in mte or esb for 10/7-10/11.

I've seen people getting prices in the $110 to $130 range in these zones on dates within a week or two of mine but I've gone up to $155 now without success...

Am i missing something? Does the fact that my dates have a fri and sat night hike the price? Any other ideas....?

Rates are date-specific, and if there is something going on on these dates, rates will be higher. Additionally, rates may go up or down, so while other users may have gotten rates at certain points recently, rates for the general time period may have gone up since.

What would be your budget per night for hotel? Are you interested in any other Midtown zones, or only MTE?
