4* Paris (St Germain-Latin Qtr) Sep 25-28, 2009 @ $110 & Sep 28-30, 2009 @ $141 Marriott Rive Gauche

Had been bidding @ $200 for a 5* in Paris with no success.

Then the objective was to preferably get the 4* Marriott Rive Gauche in St German - Latin Qtr or maybe a 4* in Champs Elysses

Bid upto $125 for Sep 25-30 with no success. Getting counter offers for upto $137 - $142.

Was bidding in the St Germain-Latin Qtr, Champs Elysses(OQW), Les Halles(OQE) & Bastille-Bercy Zones as per permutation & combinations. (Les Halles & Bastille-Bercy generally has higher priced hotels

Was seeing that the rate in the Marriott website was Euro139 for Sep 25 - 28 (being weekend) and Euro209 for Sep 28 - 30

So I took a risk and divided the stay into 2

So bid for 4* in St Germain-Latin Qtr for dates Sep 25 - 28 @ $100 and got a counter offer for $122. Added a zone and bagged the hotel for $110 + Tax

Tried extending a night at the hotel for Sep 28 - 30 but got an offer to extend @ $141. Accepted it because did not want to take a chance.

Overall I am very happy with the result
