coolgc Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Can you please suggest a strategy to bid on priceline to get a 3* or better hotel in the Hershey, Harrisburg, Lancaster or Starsburg area for 1 night (Sep 12th 2009). I prefer to pay around $50. Not sure if it's too low but it looks like the downtown Lancaster 3* is going around $55 - $60 anyways but there is an additional expense for parking at that hotel. I want to get a decent property in a nice area as we are with kids. We are visiting hershey park and starsburg railroad.I appreciate your help. Thank you!!
luvabrgn Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 On PRICELINE, we recently won the 3* Lancaster Marriott At Penn Square in downtown Lancaster for $62 on a Saturday night. You can park in the garage for around $10 or you could probably find parking on one of the side streets around the hotel. This is a very nice hotel--everything is brand new! Last year, we stayed at the 3.5* Sheraton Hershey we got for $80--not nearly as nice!
coolgc Posted September 8, 2009 Author Report Posted September 8, 2009 I won a $52 bid for 3* Marriott Lancaster At Penn Square. Used the PRICELINE link from the betterbidding website. Thanks!Does anyone have suggestions for a safe and cheap parking next to the hotel? Any way I could get the hotel to allow free parking? Thanks!
