nala62 Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Got it at the rate of $112.00. Not too bad, but sure wish it was the Westin or even Sheraton. Boy the Hyatt has some poor reviews, doesn't it! Thanks to this board for the help. I guess we can do anything for 2 nights!
AaronJB Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board. The Hyatt's reviews are rather average for the city (and most of the recent tripadvisor ratings are rather good), and personally, while I don't think it's among the top 4* properties in the city, it is a nicer hotel than some of the reviews would indicate. The Hyatt is a massive (biggest hotel in the city at 2,000+ rooms) convention oriented property. It is not a boutique w/personalized service, and I think some of the reviews may reflect disappointment in the fact that - since this is such a huge property - service can feel a little thinner than some smaller hotels. It's otherwise a fine hotel in a great, central location. Additionally, this hotel is rated 85 out of nearly 190 hotels in Chicago on tripadvisor; so while its reviews are mixed, there's a lot of hotels under it on tripadvisor. Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start future purchases.Enjoy your stay.
