juliec Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Hi all,I'm new to Priceline and would like some advice about how to bid for a room at Gatwick airport very close to the termial due to an early morning flight. I believe there are only 3 hotels which are within walking distance of the terminals; are there any tips to make sure I am biddling on those? Thanks -
thereuare Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! There is no way to target a specific property when bidding on PRICELINE. If you're trying to target a specific property or location within the zone HOTWIRE may be a better option since you can often identify the property based upon the amenities shown before your purchase... but still a risk involved since there are no guarantees.Let us know your thoughts and/or how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. In your reply, please include the date(s) of your stay, desired star rating, and expected budget. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. juliec Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 Thanks for that and I'll have a look at HOTWIRE. We need one nights accomodation on the 6th October for an early morning flight from Gatwick North Terminal on the 7th October. The star rating is unimportant but we want a hotel within walking distance of the terminals or we have to start getting involved in arranging early morning transfers! Thanks
thereuare Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 The Hotwire Hotel List doesn't have too many hotels reported in this zone, but let us know if anything appears within your budget on a HOTWIRE search and we'll try to help. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
