I think you should raise it to above $150 or change the hotel category to a 3.5 star, which is still good in NYC.

Try many areas in the bid to ample your options.

Good luck. Please share the outcome with all of us.

thanks for replies everybody was hoping to get a 4* maybe westin for max 160 but have also widened my search to 3 1/2 stars what other areas would suit my needs was thinking MTE? thanks again. will post my successful bids any benefits in splitting my stay and searching two separate bids

For your complete stay i don't think $160 is going to be enough for a 4* and may not be enough for a 3.5* either. However, i do see some benefit in SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID... the last 2 nites of your stay begin to get more expensive than the previous 3 nites, so as you add each of those nites i believe your chances of sucess go down.

Are you more interested in not splitting your stay and seeking a lower rated hotel OR splitting your stay and getting a higher rated hotel for at least part of your stay?

Let us know and we'll advise regarding suggested zones and bidding strategy.
