Priceline Hotel: Virginia Beach, VA Oceanfront/Seaside

Hi,

I am new to this site and will be my first time using PRICELINE to lock in a rate for a hotel this weekend. When I was doing my research, most of the hotels I came across were 3-stars and oceanside with the exception of a few hotels.

To the point and my question... When I name my own price for a hotel, could I potentially end up at a different 3-star hotel that is not listed as an option on priceline? I have looked at all the hotels and am pleased with the potential options. I just want to make sure that I would end up at one of these hotels and not a hotel that is not listed as an option on priceline.

Welcome to BetterBidding :)

You need to be willing to stay at any 3* (or higher) in the zone you're bidding for. PRICELINE can add and re-rate hotels at anytime.

If you're trying to target a specific property then HOTWIRE can often be a better option if you're successfully able to identify it based upon the star rating and amenities shown before your purchase... the trade-off is that HOTWIRE usually costs a little more than PRICELINE, so you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive.

My dates of stay are for 9/05 through 9/07. The 3-star hotels look very nice on priceline and would be happy with those selections if I get any of those on the list.
