jessut Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 I booked this hotel a few months ago--before I discovered this site--and before I knew very much about Priceline. I have it for 2 nights in September and am thinking about taking the loss ($124 per night) and looking for another hotel because the reviews are so negative. Is it really that bad? Is there anything I can do to change the booking? Should I just stay there because it's only for 2 nights? Thanks for your help.
AaronJB Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Please first post the details of your win - was this a PRICELINE reservation?
jessut Posted September 2, 2009 Author Report Posted September 2, 2009 Please first post the details of your win - was this a PRICELINE reservation?Yes, it was booked through priceline for September 14th-16th for $124 each night.
AaronJB Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 I'm not sure how the area is, but the reviews really do not seem that bad to me, and keep in mind that many of those people likely paid full price. Some of the recent reviews are actually pretty positive. Also, the hotel is ranked about 221 out of 422 hotels on tripadvisor. So about half the hotels in the city are ranked worse than this property.Personally, I definitely wouldn't take the loss on nearly $250 - I'd at least go there and try it out, and that's just a lot of money to waste. Again, reviews at some similarly star rated NYC properties are certainly worse.Thank you for reporting your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase.

I'll try it out and report back what I thought of it.
AaronJB Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 Glad to hear you'll try the hotel out. A review would be greatly appreciated. :)
