Best guess is that the 3* Chelsea property is the Wyndham Garden Hotel at Broadway and Fifth (24th Street) and that the 2.5* is the Hampton Inn 35th Street. Either of these properties would work be a good location, but the Hampton Inn gets great reviews.

I don't have a guess for the 2* but there are also areas in the northern part of this zone that are not convenient and you wouldn't likely want to stay in.

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.

What is your budget and is there something in particular that you're looking for from this stay? It doesn't seem to make sense to consider a 2* hotel at $209 when a 3.5* is available for $209.

If your budget is around the $200 mark i'd take the 4* Times Square Hotel with Boutique, Fitness, Restaurant, Internet and a very good Tripadvisor rating of 4.0/5.0 which i believe to be the Hotel Mela.

You can read the reviews HERE and at $219/nite is just $10 more than the previous hotels you've asked about, higher rated by HOTWIRE, and has a better Tripadvisor rating (and reviews) than the other properties.

Would this work well for your plans?

Thanks for the reply. My budget is around $200. I want the location of hotel is convenient to shopping. In the mean time, i also want a quite, safe area for a good sleep at night. That's why, I try to figure out which area(2* or 3.5*) is good for staying. I believe the 4* Times Square Hotel is the best choice for my budget, my only concern is the noise. Thanks again.

Congratulations on your success!

Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results. I think that was the best offering of price to value and should work out well for your plans. A very central location while not being in the heart of the Times Square crowd each time you walk out of the hotel.

Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our HOTWIRE link to begin your purchase.

Enjoy your stay.
