I'm back to Chicago area again ...

Got the Staybridge Suites, under the same circumstances as my last stay here, complete with $38 counter-offer. Bid $30 for a 3*, got a $38 counter-offer. Ignored it and added St Charles and raised my bid to $32. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a double 1 bedroom suite and not the "studio" I received last time. I will be staying with a friend for the first 3 days and we don't want to share a bed and the fold out couch is TERRIBLE! I guess if worse comes to worse she can sleep on top of the couch like my daughter did the last time we stayed there. Good news is that it has free internet and a very good breakfast.

Best available rate was an average of $118 ($110/$120/$110/$110/$110). Priceline said the average 3* was $91 (which happened to be the average price for the Hyatt Place).
