thesqueegeekid Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburghttp://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/index.j...ctyhocn=GAIGHHFI got this for a friend's parents ... Reviews are horrible for this hotel ... the savings however, should make up for it. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g4...g_Maryland.htmlI had tried the Virginia burbs, and DC metro first before bidding on MD. Prior rejected bid for this zone was $50.Zone: Gaithersburg - Rockville620 Perry Parkway Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877 301-977-8900Your Offer Price: $55.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $21.57 Total Charges: $131.57
thereuare Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 Thanks for the new hotel to add!Interesting question for you, and the rest of the board that bids for others: do you inform others of the negative reviews when you a win a property that is less than favorable... or do you focus on "a Hilton property for $55!" thesqueegeekid Posted November 23, 2004 Author Report Posted November 23, 2004 great question ... I never share reviews, because it is a mood-spoiler ... except in a case where they should specify something like a rennovated room or "ask for the north tower" etc. Also, depending on how well I know them. Here, I don't know them too well and they will assume it is great based on the Hilton name and curse the hotel (and me a little) later.
