deeanneyounkin
I have been trying to get a hotel here on Priceline because I see so many in the $40 range for a 3.5*. I have gone up to $81 by adding as many zones as possible that have lower star levels and haven't been successful. Any ideas? TIAIt cut off the end date. It is for 11/21/09-11/23/09 Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Rates are date specific.... if you check the Sheraraton website rates for your dates start at $249/nite, where if you look at the last reported win of the Sheraton Sports Complex rates for those dates are $125/nite. Higher hotel direct rates usually translate to a higher bid needed to be successful as well. What is your maximum bid for this stay before you consider changing zones and/or lowering your star rating. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. deeanneyounkin
That makes sense. I am trying to stay for a football game and not baseball. I was hoping to stay under $100 since it says the median price is $174 on Priceline. How do I know when I can try to bid again? I did my first one around 9 pm on 8/31 and then tried all of the combinations yesterday morning around 11. It wouldn't let me try the one again from 8/31 this morning, so I guess it looks at it as part of yesterday's? Did I throw it off by trying too early now? Link to comment
thereuare
It's 24 hours from your last bid which included the zone(s) you're currently trying to bid.The attempt to try a little early shouldn't re-set the clock, but sometimes it does, so with time on your side i would just sit tight for another day and then move forward, taking good notes as to when you started/stopped bidding so you'll know when your 24 hour is up for future bids. What is your maximum bid for this stay? What is the best price you're able to get thru conventional booking channels? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
