Hotwire Hotel: 4*-Mag Mile

Alright, I'm looking at a hotel with 4* in Mag mile / Streeterville area.

It's $109 per night

amenties include:

Pool

Dining

Spa

fitness

internet

business

tennis

Do you have any ideas?

I'm staying in Chicago 9/3-9/6

Any ideas on events or things to do with kids age 3-15? Restaurants/must dos/ places to school clothes shop?

Personally, I'd highly recommend the Lincoln Park Zoo (great zoo, and free). The State St. shopping area may be better for school shopping, given that there are more in the way of discounters (Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, etc.) Michigan Ave. isn't exactly the best place to look for bargains. In terms of restaurants, it depends on what you're looking for in terms of atmosphere/budget/etc.

Thanks for your reply. What sets this hotel apart from the rest, I mean how do you know its the Swissotel. Cause I see theres alot with Spa's.

It's not just the SPA icon but the complete amenity combination that is being used matches previous reports for the Swissotel, as per the Hotwire Hotel List.

However, i'm not currently seeing this property offered when searching for your dates (i searched both 2adults/0children and 2adults/2chidlren)... are you still seeing this property offered on your own HOTWIRE search?

I have a few location requests, I'll be booking through HOTWIRE. It seems the hotels are nicer, better amenties, etc.

There is a

4* on Mag mile, non-smoking with pool, fitness center, dining, internet, business center----$115

or

3.5* on Mag Mile : suite, comp breakfast, pool, fitness, dining, business------$117

or

4.5* on Mag Mile/Stree : Fitness, dining, business---------$139

Do you know what hotels these are, and which would be nicest?

I'm trying to identify a few hotels in Chicago from 9/3-9/6, this week!

We are looking to stay close to Navy Pier, and mag mile. for 4, 2 adults & 2 kids.

I'd like a 4* and to pay $100-$120 per day. I'm looking through HOTWIRE. Don't know which one is better?

Here's what I'm getting:

4*---Mag mile/Street----- for $114 per night------non-smoking site, fitness, pool, dining,business cntr, internet-----3.5 out of 5 from trip advisor

or

3.5 * Mag mile, ---$117 night----suite, dining, comp break, pool, business, fitness, internet

It is no longer offering the Swissotel. Many of the one's I was looking at are no longer available.

The 4* matches previous reports for the Sheraton while the 3.5* matches previous reports for the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Lakefront so that would be my best guess for each.
