Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Boston (Cambridge) Hyatt

I just scored the Hyatt Regency Cambridge (3.5*) for $75 per night from Thursday, 9/3/09 through Tuesday, 9/8/09 for five nights. My bidding strategy was to start in the Cambridge zone at 4* and $65, then five re-bids in $5 increments to $90. No hits there. Next I started in the Cambridge zone again at 3.5* and $55, re-bidding five times in $5 increments to $80. This time I pinned the Hyatt on the fourth re-bid at $75. I was prepared to move on to the Copley zone next but didn't have to!

Considering that we're still 7 days out from check-in, I'd guess that the Boston inventory isn't shaping up too well for the hotels & I wouldn't be surprised to see even better deals available over the next few days. For a similar trip earlier in the year I was not successful until two days prior to arrival. And, of course, I used the BB PRICELINE link. Thanks to all who post here and the moderators; the information is invaluable.
