badbeat Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 First time poster but I have used this site for reference many times, so TIA :) I'm looking for check-in on Sat 10/17 and check out Sunday 10/18, and as you can see by the title I'm pretty flexible on zones. Also flexible for MidTown East. I would prefer at least a 4* but depending on the pricing strategy you guys give me, I may have to drop down to 3.5*. It's just for one night, so I'm open to spending $250 or so for the night.Oh - last thing - if you can list dog-friendly hotels, that would be extra bonus help - thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 Welcome to the site. The problem becomes that there is no way to select a dog-friendly hotel via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE (although it would be amusing if HOTWIRE started ID'd pet-friendly hotels with a little animal icon)Would you rather spend more (possibly towards your max, plus there might be an added deposit) and get a pet-friendly hotel or would you rather take your chances and spend less via PRICELINE or HOTWIRE and risk very possibly not getting a pet-friendly property? In terms of a pet-friendly property, Orbitz.com is showing that the Wyndham Garden Times Square South is pet-friendly (although I'd confirm that by calling the property) and $224 non-refundable.However, Orbitz.com is also showing this deal:Through 8/31, book any hotel in NYC and receive a FREE $50 gift certificate from Restaurant.com (Select a hotel and add FREE offer on the add Attractions & Services page). That's a pretty good offer and $50 from Restaurant.com can go a pretty long way, especially if one can combine the GC with the Restaurant.com coupon codes.Let us know your thoughts. Please use the site's Orbitz.com, PRICELINE.com or HOTWIRE links.
badbeat Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 Thanks for speedy reply. The dog-friendly part is less important, I was more interested in knowing what a good starting price would be for Name Your Price for any of those zones...
