This is my 1st time on the board and its a Godsend! It's amazing how much you can learn with a little research :)

I registered on PRICELINE for the first time. Here's how the bidding went.

1) $80 Embarcadero = DENIED

2) $85 Embarcadero < Civic Center = DENIED

3) $90 Embarcadero < Civic Center < Fisherman's Wharf = DENIED

4) $95 Embarcadero < Civic Center < Fisherman's Wharf < Marina = COUNTEROFFER FOR $117

5) $100 Embarcadero < Civic Center < Fisherman's Wharf < Marina < South San Francisco = DENIED

So I'm all out of bids at this point and my wife registers an account:

6) $103 Embarcadero = DENIED

7) $105 Embarcadero < Civic Center = DENIED

8) $109 Embarcadero < Civic Center < Fisherman's Wharf = WINNA WINNA CHICKEN DINNER (HYATT REGENCY)!

Final Tally:

$109/night x 2 nights

+ Taxes = $42.34

TOTAL = $260.34

I wish I could have planned this trip a bit earlier. That way I could have gotten the $98 Hyatt Regency rooms that I've seen other people get recently. Oh well...it's still a decent detail.
