Unfortuantely this property has not yet been reported to the board.

If you search Expedia there are quite a few listing within a similar price range, and you can try to use coupon code 10AUG for $10 of per nite.

4-star hotel in Hollywood Beach (9/24 - 9/27) $83

Anyone know how I can tell the difference between Diplomat Country Club and Westin Diplomat by the amenities listed?

9/24 - 9/27

Resort

Near Beach

Smoke Free Rooms

Fitness Center

Pool

Restaurant

High Speed Internet

Golf Nearby

Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread.

There is currently no way to differentiate between the two as they currently have botoh been reported with the same amenity combination and there are no other clues offerd by HOTWIRE for this property.

HOWEVER, if you change your search to 4adults/0children a new 4* hotel is offered in this zone with:

Resort, Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Golf and a Tripavisor rating of 4.0/5.0 and 120+ reviews.

This one is a match for the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Sian Resort so that would be our best guess, if that property is of any interest to you.

Thank you for the information on the Crowne Plaza!!

Another question about that Diplomat (not Westin) property.

The address seems to be outside the Hollywood Beach area on the map...

It's still considered part of that area?

Also, I just notice that on Hotwire, the South Beach - Ocean Drive property got 3.0 out of 5.0 TripAdvisor rating.

I tried to filter on TripAdvisor to narrow it down.

Could this property be The Savoy?

Just came back from the Eden Roc - very nice hotel and paid about the same rate. You can also wander next door to the Fontainebleau which is a Billion dollar redevelopment hotel vs. $180 million at the Eden Roc. Both are great but the F hotel is fantastic and doesn't seem to mind visitors. We got a partial ocean view on the 4th floor of the old tower - no problems although room service left something to be desired (please sir - an extra roll of toilet paper!) even despite calls to the front desk. Parking is available free on the street after 6 pm (until 8 am) or next door in the lot but they charge $10 for over-night in the lot on the week-ends. I was able to get a street or free over-night spot every night although noted that some "locals" were plugging the meters after 6pm even though not necessary. FYI - the Fontainebleau is something out of a James Bond movie on the week-ends in terms of people watching!

If you are looking for good reasonably priced sea food - try Fifi's Place a couple miles north. We have been there 5 times, each good. You can get get a good main fish dish for just $10.99 but expect to pay $24 per main dish plus starters (the ceviche!) and wines are cheap ($20 for Gnarley Chardonnay). They frequently give free samples - dishes and/or deserts!

Just got back from my stay at the Eden Roc. Couldn't have asked for better! Maybe because we got there early enough on a Thursday morning (rather than Friday or Saturday when the lobby looked extremely busy), there were no problems fulfilling my request for two beds and an upgraded room (to a 10th floor room in the new Ocean tower with a huge balcony and partial ocean view).

I didn't use room service, but housekeeping and hospitality was incredible! I asked for extra shampoo and conditioner and the lady gave us 3 or 4 bottles of each. On Saturday morning (ironically after a night out), hospitality knocked on the door around 11 AM to bring in three tall glasses of ice water. How they knew that was just what we needed is a mystery, but it was much appreciated and timing was perfect!!!

The adult only pool was closed for renovations. I guess they are re-doing all of the decks on the pools, one at a time. They said it would be reopened in about a week.
