Rodinoo Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Hey! This is my first time using the Priceline site and I would appreciate some assisstance.I'm going to be staying for three nights in Athens with my girlfriend between 10/09/2009 and 13/09/2009.I've read some guides but I'm a bit confused at this stage. The only area that I can select seems to be Greater Athens, so will I be limited to only one bid per day?My budget is around
thereuare Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 You are correct, with only one zone, there are no re-bid opportunities in Athens Greece. What is your maximum bid in US dollars?priceline.line Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Rodinoo Posted August 24, 2009 Author Report Posted August 24, 2009 My maximum bid would be around 90 dollars. Thanks for the help.

Rodinoo Posted August 24, 2009 Author Report Posted August 24, 2009 I would like to try for a 5* hotel within my budget to make the stay more memorable, but I would also be perfectly content with a 4*. I have also done a search on this forum - and it seems that most people have gotten 5* rooms at the Athenaeum Intercontinental and 4* rooms at the Ledra Marriott. However, the reviews on Trip Advisor seem to be more favourable towards Ledra Marriott, so getting a room there should be just as good! The selection on HOTWIRE seems a bit out of my budget since their cheapest rooms begin at $109.Thanks for the help!

Or you could bid for a 5* first and then if rejected immediately try again for a 4* at say $10 less... then continue to place bids each day at $x for a 5* and then $x-10 for a 4*.Let us know your thoughts and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
