JOSEPH SOHMER Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Hi- I would gladly use your help. I cannot find any dummy zones to use for iSydney ,Australia( city center). I will be there betw. September 15th an September 20th( possibly a bit longer) I will take 3 star and up andwould go from $ 55 to $80. Can you suggest a strategy that can still be used on Pricelinem please? Thanks Joe
thereuare Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Would you prefer a higher rated hotel for this stay or is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. JOSEPH SOHMER Posted August 24, 2009 Author Report Posted August 24, 2009 HI-My goal is 3-star and up. -Thanks
thereuare Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Not much history at the 3* level, so with time on your side I'd start with $50 for a 3* and increase by $5 every 24 hours until you reach your limit. You should get to your limit in less than a week at which point we can regroup and change the strategy if you're rejected up to $80.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Any questions feel free to ask.,Goodl luck and let us know how it goes. JOSEPH SOHMER Posted August 24, 2009 Author Report Posted August 24, 2009 Thanks..Sorry to bother you again but if I decide for a higher caibre( I see that the Marriot is won at $75-$80), should I try $70 to begin and hope for a counteroffer?? Even if another hotel is won for that range in price it's o.k.
thereuare Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 You could try that, but it seem to me that you're more concerned with a "deal" than if the hotel is 3* or 4* rated. What if you begin by bidding $65 for a 4* and if that's rejected lower your star rating to 3* and bid $50.If that is rejected in 24 hours try $70 for a 4* and if that's rejected try a 3* at $55.And so-on, trying for the 4* first at $5 more than the pervious days bid, and if rejected, then trying the 3* at $5 more than that bid the previous day.Does that make sense? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
