thereuare Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 Please post a reply to your Priceline Niagara Falls thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay... then bump this thread letting us know your maximum bid and we'll suggest a strategy for your to follow above. Also, i assume your goal is the least expensive 4* or better for this stay rather than trying for a 5* up to your limit before attempting for a 4*?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. ReconDoc Posted August 23, 2009 Report Posted August 23, 2009 You will have a major problem getting a PL room at anything looking like a decent price. You have picked the absolute more busiest time of the year as far as Amsterdam hotels. The yearly IBC conference. Ends on the 14th (conference) or the 15th (exhibit)The best hope is that the conference this year will be less busy because of the economy and some rooms are being left unused. We have seen no indication that this may be the case. But you can always hope that it is.If you have flex on dates you should be able to score a 4* for about $65 the weekend before or after this conference.Good Luck

I am looking to get a 4* or better, hoping for under 200US a night.Thanks,Mike.
thereuare Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I previously commented on the Niagara Falls thread that "I had no luck", did not book a room.So did you cancel your trip? Please post such, or whatever you did end up doing for that stay, as the post at this point in time simply ends that you bid failed (with nothing as far as what you ultimateluy did do for this stay)I am looking to get a 4* or better, hoping for under 200US a night.Given the info above are your dates flexible at all? HOTWIRE currently showns nothing in this zone for these dates and Expedia shows very slim pickings as well. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
