After looking through this site a zillion times,

I am wondering if the 4* is the Marriot and 3.5* the Delta

Both properties at the airport

I am looking for 1 night 27th Dec 2004,should I wait to se if they go down

I am checking Hotwire, because I am in Canada its realy difficult to go through Priceline

I had trouble with Hotwire had to phone it in it didn't like my Postal Code

( yes I did use the out of US site)

Thanks again in advance

According to this site the Marriot has Laundry

Please keep all posts regarding the same stay in the same thread.

The hotel lists should not be considered inclusive, from the top of every hotel list on the board you'll find:

This list is NOT a complete list of all hotels that Hotwire offers in this area, it is ONLY a compilation of hotels that have already been reported on this forum. Hotels are added/removed by Hotwire all the time, and star ratings can change at ANY time. As well, the geographic boundaries of an area are subject to change, so it's always a good idea to look at the Hotwire map before purchasing.

In light of the above, you MAY get a hotel that is NOT on this list, or get a hotel on this list but at a star level you didn't expect (if the star rating has changed).

If you'd like help identifying the hotels please provide all of the amenities that Hotwire associates with the property.

Managed to get through to Priceline with a Canadian address adapted as I had read about

But was not as lucky as the previous bidder

I did not get 3* for Vancouver Airport for 27th Dec to 28th 2004

my bid was midway hers at $33 but it came back as a NO with no counter,

So I assume I have to wait 72hrs before bidding again I can get something through Hotwire for $55

But I thought i would try Priceline for lower of course, after I had read oe of the other posts

No I didn't know anything, I just took a stab

Now I could go back and put Langley in as a different Zone as well but I'm a little scared that there could be a hotel in the *,even though they say there isn't ( I dont want to end up in Langley)

Hotels for that night are around $50 US for 2*

Please add a reply to the Vegas post so that others reading it in the future will know what you ultimately decided to do and the thread will have some 'closure' and not be open-ended.

However, i will add that i don't understand your reply... if you are able to cancel two of the nites and re-book them at a cheaper price, why wouldn't you do so?

NO I dont have anything to post yet

but when everone posts there wins I have noticed their Service and Taxes

are approx $7 on $50 ( with Priceline ) and when I checkout Hotwire its

No. of rooms: 1

No. of nights: 1

Price per night: $55.00

Subtotal: $55.00

Taxes/Fees: $14.95

Total Price: $69.95

All taxes & fees included.

Prices are in $USD.

I was looking @ Vancouver-Richmond area (which is the airport )

at 3.5 and 3 * Properties- Dec 27th one night

I was just trying to get the Fees sorted in my head

because then on my next bid I can bid at least $7 more

When you win a bid with Priceline are the Hotel Taxes included ???

I am sorry if these questions are stupid but I am just trying to understand both the systems

Vancouver Airport 3* Not a win again last bid 72 hrs ago = $33

_________________________

1) bid $35 @ Vancouver Airport

2) bid $37 @ Vancouver Airport/Langley

3)bid $38 @ Vancouver Airport/Langley/Surrey

All bids rejected

Will try again in 72 Hours

Expedia.ca have 2 Hotels--- Executive Inn and Comfort Inn @ $62 Can=$52 US

Or I think its the Delta3.5* @ the Airport With HOTWIRE

No. of rooms: 1

No. of nights: 1

Price per night: $55.00

Subtotal: $55.00

Taxes/Fees: $14.95

Total Price: $69.95

All taxes & fees included.

Prices are in $USD. Approx $84 Can

So at the moment with a long time to go I'll keep bidding with PRICELINE

$52 for a 2* Available with Expedia

$$70 for 3.5*(maybe Delta ) with Hotwire

I still dont know if Hotel Taxes are Included in either Expedia,Hotwire or Priceline

FYI, Priceline doesn't not include GST in the tax and while Hotwire does.

So for hotels in British Columbia, for example:

Priceline pays hotels 7% less in tax than Hotwire because technically Priceline only sells rooms to Americans or foreigners where they can get the taxes exempted while Hotwire is allowed to sell rooms to Canadians and so they'll have to charge the GST.
