Having noticed another winning bid at 75$ for the nights Sept. 26 - 28, which made the bidder happy, as he got exactly the hotel he wanted (Marriott Marquis), I gave it a try. I selected only "Downtown" and bid 75 $. And won, in the first go. Great :) ! A real good deal, as the best available rate at marriott.com is € 159. And, of course,

I also got the Marquis for $75 and noticed later that with some European prepaid sites (e.g. www.hotel-board.com) you'd have got almost same rate ($7 more expensive per night) - without the thrill of priceline NYOP but knowing 100% that you'll get his hotel in advance... maybe an accident :) however it's quite difficult to find your deal if you don't know Atlanta as a tourist and could basically stay whereever it's good value
