jkelly
I would like to be successful in getting a price for La Concha on PRICELINE. PL lists only two San Juan properties as 4*. These are La Concha or Conrad. The Conrad is priced MUCH lower at $149 , vs $229 for La Concha. Would any bidding strategy result in getting La Concha over Conrad? I am willing to pay the higher amount for La Concha on HOTWIRE (it is listed there as a Resort property for $139) but was curious if anyone had a strategy to get La Concha on PL at even a lower price , without ending up with the Conrad instead. yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't target a specific hotel on PRICELINE. Sure, we can guess that you will hit the X hotel since it cheaper than the Y hotel, but this is not allways how PRICELINE works. And we don't know if PRICELINE has added any new hotels to the zone that's not reported to the board. If you only want to stay at La Concha and want less of a gamble then go with HOTWIRE.Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Yellowdog. Link to comment
jkelly
OK, thanks for the advice! Link to comment
thereuare
The other issue is that the star rating you select is the minimum you are willing to accept, so it's quite possible that your 4* bid is upgraded to a Resort class property... so all the Resort properties are "in play" too, not just the two 4* hotels. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
