Hello - First time user...and loving it!

Here is what my search came up with...I checked the master list and didn't find any matches.

3-star hotel in West Loop - Medical District - UIC - $139

* Fitness

* Poll

* Restaurant

* Business Center

* Laundry

* Internet

3-star hotel in Lake View - Lincoln Park - Wrigleyville - $209

* Complimentary Breakfast

* Fitness Center

* Golf

Any help figuring these two out would be awesome!

Welcome to the site. :)

What date/s are you searching for?

Additionally, I would not recommend staying in the West Loop - Medical District - UIC area unless you had to for a certain reason.

Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links when ready to book.

I am looking to book for 2010 NYE, so I'm not sure if Hotwire would be a good gamble but thought I would give it a go.

Dates are 12/31-1/3 2 rooms; 2 people per room.

Thanks for the response, as I am not entirely familiar with Chicago.

The 3* Lakeview may be the Best Western Hawthorne Place - that listing has not yet been ID'd, but that would be a guess.

However, there are 4*'s in the Mag Mile-Streeterville area and NMA-Water Tower-Gold Coast area of downtown showing on HOTWIRE for a little more than $100 each.

Significantly less for a nicer property downtown certainly would be a better choice, I think, rather than being up North in the Lakeview neighborhood - and $200 for a 3* in Lakeview, to me, is an outrageous price (I have to imagine, whatever property it is, that there's no actual discount on that price), given what else is available.

There's few hotels in Lakeview-Lincoln Park, leading to little in the way of HOTWIRE inventory and less in the way of discounts.

Please feel free to ask if you have questions about ID'ing other properties.

I agree a little high $$$ - just curious I guess. Here are the other options listed that I was interested in.

Any help narrowing them down would be AWESOME!

4-star hotel in Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville - $99

* Business Center

* restaurant

* Internet

* Fitness

4-star hotel in North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast - $103

* Business Center

* restaurant

* Internet

* Fitness

3.5-star hotel in North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast - $99 - I am guessing Indigo?

* Business Center

* restaurant

* Internet

* Fitness

* Boutique

* Golf

* Tennis

* Spa

4-star hotel in Chicago Loop - $122

* Business Center

* restaurant

* Internet

* Fitness

Thanks again for your help!

4* Loop = Likely W City Center.

3.5 NMA = Likely Indigo.

4* Mag Mile = possibly Hyatt, Hard Rock, Sheraton or Westin. No way to narrow.

4* NMA = possibly Allerton, Drake, Westin MA or Millennium Knickerbocker. No way to narrow.

A couple of notes: The W City Center is not the most well-located hotel and the property is a "love it or hate it", but if the 4* Loop is the W, I'd say they're fairly likely going to have some celebrating going on at night. The Indigo's a wonderful property in the Gold Coast neighborhood, which is just a few minutes walk North of the NMA shopping area. Partying unlikely in hotel, but partying in the area around the hotel is going to be pretty heavy, given the nightlife in the area.

This is a match for the Holiday Inn Downtown at 506 West Harrison Street. I just booked a Hotwire Hotel matching those amenities.
