vrk
Going to Maui Nov 22nd 2004 to Nov 29th 2004. WOuld like to know a good bidding strategy on Priceline for a 3* hotel. I already tried $70 and $75, but didn't get accepted. This being an offseason, what would be a good price to quote. Thanks in advance for your responses. Link to comment

thereuare
Your bids seem low... where and how much is your current back-up reservation? (assuming you have one) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
vrk
I haven't yet reserved anything but I am closely following a couple. There is a 2.5* inn available for $90 a night. Royal Lahaina (2.5 -3*) is available for $112. If I were to book on my own (without priceline) I would probably go with BW Maui Ocenfront for 4 nights (they have the 4th night free). That is about $80 per night for the first 4 nights, and then go with Royal Lahaina for the next 3 days (it seems to be a better hotel property). So I am looking at an average of about $94 (before tax) a night.I would prefer getting a 3* for about $85 - 90 , or in worst case maybe Royal Lahaina for around $90 through priceline. Do you think that too low? Link to comment
