canuckprof Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Bid 45 to start and was asked to increase the bid by $13. Rebid twice at $47 and accepted at $50. Prefer the Marriot but was betting this hotel would come up downtown having seen it on the board several times. I'm travelling with family and need the extra beds. This is an all suite hotel. I've stayed there several times. I would rate it a 2.5 but it's perfectly acceptable at this price.

To accomodate some additional family for Sunday Aug 23, I made another 1 night booking. I had to go to $55. My experience is that downtown prices are lowest Fri/Sat rising slightly during the week. The opposite can be true in west Edmonton since it sees a fair amount of weekend tourist traffic at that altar of shopping bliss, West Edmonton Mall.
