aperris Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 I noticed that Fort Lauderdale has star ratings from 1* to 4*s. There is also a resort category below the 1* category. How do I proceed if I want a 3*- 4* or Resort property? I am looking for a room from September 5 through September 10 checking out on September 11.
yellowdog Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 If you need help with with a bidding strategy so please post your max budget/night for the diffrent star levels and the zone(s) you're willing to stay in.Do you know how to use your free zones? thereuare Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 Currently the zone "hierarchy" is as follows:5-Star hotelsResorts4-Star hotelsBoutique hotels3-Star hotels2 Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
aperris Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 Currently the zone "hierarchy" is as follows:So a 4* bid could be upgraded to a Resort but a 5* bid would not be upgraded (since the 5* is considered 'higher' rated than the 'resort')Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Thank you Thereuare and Yellowdog. I am familiar with rebid strategy, but did not know where the resort fit in since Priceline placed the "resort" below the one star property when I attempted to bid. I picked up a good deal in another way, but will keep the rules in mind for future trips. This board is indispensable.
