Tracy Yip Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 I have put in a bid for $100 per night for Paris, La Defense area for 7 nights starting from 7 Sep.My offer was rejected and Priceline counter-proposed $166 per night which I did not accept. How much further do you think I should increase in my next bid? My limit is $135 per night and my dates+area is immovable.Thanks.
yellowdog Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Please follow-up your previous Priceline NYC thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay... then bump this thread and we'll have a look at the above.Yellowdog.
Tracy Yip Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 I have closed the NY thread, sorry for leaving it open, I had some family emergencies and couldn't go ahead. For the Paris trip, I raised my bid up to $110 per night and was still rejected.
yellowdog Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 I think you have to proceed to you maximum here. I would do this in $5 steps. Please post if you need any further help.Yellowdog.PS. please follow-up this thread with whatever you ended up doing for the stay (even if you chose to book direct, cancelled your stay, etc)
Tracy Yip Posted September 20, 2009 Author Report Posted September 20, 2009 I just came back from my trip and wanted to close off this thread.I went up to $135 and was still not accepted for a bid. In the end, I booked from another website which had a couple of last min deals.
