Just got back from T.O. and the stay at the Delta Chelsea.

Based on some feedback I read on another board, I signed up for their free Privilege program and received an upgrade to a premier room. The room itself was pretty nice. Queen bed, fold out sofa bed, easy chair, desk, 6 drawer dresser with tube TV on top. We got 2 bottles of water delivered to the room each time the room was serviced (except one day when it wasn't cleaned until after 5pm!) and a newspaper each weekday.

The elevators and hallways on my floor (22) were looking a little rough. The elevator doors opened before the cab lined up with the floor, for example and the floor was a bit bumpy through the hallway.

Parking in the hotel lot was $26 or $31 for valet (plus tax). Optional internet for $12. We opted to hook up to someone's unlocked wifi instead.

Oh I'm planning on staying this weekend there, but it's only for one night. Do new members automatically get the privilege to upgrade to a premier room?

-Thanks

Well, this was my first stay there, but when I checked in, I asked what type room I was assigned and they said I was given a complimentary upgrade to premier.

I didn't ask for the upgrade.
