jump Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 See 2 choices:4* midtown central $156fitness, restaurant, hi-speed (no business)- this seems to be Algonquin4* midtown east $160fitness, restaurant, business, hi-speed, tennis nearby- this appears to be either Grand Hyatt or Intercontinental-Barclay (though likely Barclay based on TripAdvisor review count)So assuming these guesses are correct (confirmation anyone?), which would be better (Algonquin, Intercontinental Barclay) based on folks' experiences? Any reason I should pick one over the other? Thanks!

thereuare Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 It really depends what you're looking for...The Inter-Continental is more of a traditional hotel with a business oriened focus... the Algonquin is more of a historic property with a boutiqe-y feel, many LOVE the beds, but also expect a very small room (even by NYC standards) and other 'quirks' like older/slow elevators and such. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help.
