lisa21 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I'm looking for a room in Providence 10/23-10/25. Could anyone tell me if I have the best chance of getting a good rate NOW or if I wait, or is there just no pattern to follow? Just wondering if I'll find myself in big numbers if I bid now. Thanks!
AaronJB Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 Waiting to bid is placing a bet on rates falling, and there is no way to know for sure whether or not traffic will go up or down at the hotel in question on the dates in question. If you wait, you could win out and rates will drop - however, there's also certainly the possibility (especially if something is going on in the area) and rates will go up, leaving you without a reasonably priced room. So, while there is really no way to know for sure, waiting it out is also not "risk-free" either. What is your budget per night for hotel? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
lisa21 Posted August 18, 2009 Author Report Posted August 18, 2009 Seems most ppl have "won" rooms at around $50 to $65, so I was hoping for the same.
