ckm381 Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Hello. I am new to this forum and have only used Hotwire one other time (with great success). We are heading to NYC on 8/31 and will be there through 9/4. There is a 4.5 star hotel in MTE and I was wondering if anyone knew what it might be? Also wondering what the 3.5 MTC for $152.00 might be. Thanks.

ckm381 Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 The 4.5* MTE hotel lists it as having a spa, exercise facility, restaurant, business center and wi-fi. I think that it might be the Benjamin. If you buy that hotel, how accomodating are they as far as with requests for bed type, etc? The 3.5* hotel in MTE has an exercise facility, wifi, restaurant and business center and is $140 a night. Thanks so much for any help!
thereuare Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 The 4.5* prpoerty is a match for the Benjamin so that would be our best guess. The 3.5* matches the Doubletree Metropolitan, Tudor Hotel at the UN, and the Roosevelet, so any of these would be my best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. ckm381 Posted August 17, 2009 Author Report Posted August 17, 2009 Just wanted to report that I bid on Priceline for 4 nights in NYC in MTE, 4* with a bid of $175.00 and got The Benjamin. Started the bidding yesterday at $120 and was rejected. Re-bid today at $150, was rejected but told that if I increased it by $25.00, I could re-bid without changing the parameters. So, that's what I did. I had checked on the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins and seen winning bids for much less, but it just wasn't working for me. Also seemed like it was the same link on several days, so I wasn't quite sure what was up with that. Anyway, just wanted to report on my bid.

See Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and Priceline Suggests Price to Pay for more and ask any questions you may have.I had checked on the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins and seen winning bids... seemed like it was the same link on several days, so I wasn't quite sure what was up with that.I'm guessing it was a multi-nite stay so it appears in the calendar for each nite of the stay. If you clicked the link in the calendar you'll be taken to the 'winning bid' and you can see if it was a multi-nite stay (or if the dates don't match what's appear in the calendar send us a message with the link so we can fix it :) )Enjoy your stay.
