DB1 Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Just returned from the weekend in downtown Portland. Hotel was very nice and a great location in the heart of downtown, close to shopping and places to eat. Rooms were nice with plenty of space to move around. We went to the Blue Hour for dinner and it was out of this world. It is in walking distance but a short cab ride is recomended, less than $10 dollars each way. We were happy that we stayed here rather than at the Double Tree at Lloyd center.
Frank S Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 Stayed at this Hilton May 2010, pretty much what you would expect for a 3.5* hotel. It was neet and clean with an attentive staff. Excellent location in the Heart of downtown Portland. Went to dinner at Kells, an Irish Bar. Nice place with good pub food plus they had entertainment on the night we went.
Battgyrl Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I have stayed at this property several times, most recently in February 2010. As said before, it is neat, clean and a nice property for 3.5 stars.Your average room has a refrigerator, coffee maker, spacious bathrooms with granite/marble countertops, large closet with iron/ironing board. All rooms I have stayed in have had a desk with chair, an upholstered sitting chair with lamp, and plenty of lighting. I don't recall the televisions, but they were decent, though not flat-panel plasma or anything like that. HBO is included, plus cable. There is a charge for Internet. Room service is available. I like the beds and pillows are down filled.Note that there are TWO downtown Hilton properties in Portland: The Hilton, and the Hilton Executive Tower. They are across the street from each other. The coffee shop is in the Hilton, but the "Executive Tower has a restaurant and a bar. There is at least one Starbucks within the block, along with many restaurants and shopping. Pioneer Square is FABULOUS for shopping! There is a mini-mart around the corner from the Exec. Tower, plus a pizza place, other fast food, along with more expensive fine dining. The MAX light rail is one block away and you can ride for free within the downtown district.Hope this helps!Maria
