Visa Gold Car Insurance in Hotwire

Hello,

VISA gold gives a free CDW/LDW car insurance if I rent a car using the credit card.

I wonder if this apply or not when I rent a car with Hotwire, since I'm not paying directly to the rent-a-car company.

Do you know if this works?

It depends upon the terms of the credit card issuer... this is a better question to ask your credit card provider to ensure coverage should you have a problem.
