robinbtravel Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Tried at add on at the Hyatt Place, no go. Started bidding at $30 and received an $8 counter-bid. Rebid at $31 and $32. Got the Staybridge and was placed in a studio. The front desk staff said they did not have a king 1-bedroom suite available when we checked in, but I saw one online. *sigh* I guess we got the "Priceline" room. According to my 9-year old and her cousin, the fold out bed is very uncomfortable. The regular bed and pillows are not great either. The breakfast is quite good. Not too bad for $32 per night, but the worst of the 3 hotels we have stayed at in the last week.Staybridge Suites Oakbrook Terrace200 Royce BlvdOakbrook Terrace, IL 60181630-953-9393 Check-In: Thursday, August 13, 2009-03:00 PMCheck-Out: Sunday, August 16, 2009-12:00 PMSummary of ChargesRoom Cost (avg. per room, per night): $32.00 (USD)Number of Rooms: 1Number of Nights: 3Room Subtotal: $96.00 (USD)Taxes and Fees: $19.87 (USD)Total Room Cost: $115.87 (USD)

Pluto123 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 I stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago. When I wanted to be upgraded to the 1 bedroom king suite, they wanted an additional $25 per night. I asked someone else the next day who upgraded me with no problem and was happy to do it. If I had been there only one night I would have been out of luck. And your 9 year old said the same thing my kids said...the sofa bed is not comfortable. My kids usually don't complain about a sofa bed.
