kmliwahine Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I'm attending a convention that weekend as a speaker, and am being reimbursed for a one-night stay at the Manchester Grand Hyatt at the convention's discounted rate of $235/night. Decided to use priceline for two additional nights in San Diego and luckily got the same hotel for $78/night, a third of the "discounted" rate. What a steal!Started bidding at $70 for four-star hotels in the Downtown area. Re-bid at $74 and again at $78 by adding other areas without four-star hotels. Won at $78.
