Priceline Hotel: Need Advice - New York [09/4/2009 - 09/8/2009]

Hello,

I try since some weeks to get a hotel in New Your for 09/4/2009 to 09/8/2009

3* Up

Today I bet 136$ in Midtown West, Midtown East, Central Park South, Times Square - Theatre District, Madison Square Garden - Convention Area, Empire State Building Area and had no luck. I see a lots of better bids in this forum.

My bid starts at ~110$ and grows about 5$ per added area but no luck?!?

Is it too late to get a good hotel?

Very tough weekend to get a cheap room with the holiday and US Open going strong. I have been trying that weekend for 3.5* up to $165 in MTE with no luck, which is up to 50% higher than other wins in the 3.5* range during August. So you can use that as your guide. There are some hotels offering a third night free promo (check my prior post) which actually works out to be equivalent of $170 pre-tax or so, and refundable. Make sure to use the PRICELINE link on this website and good luck.

I just won a PL bidding an hour ago for 9/5/09 - 9/8/09 stay. I got 3.5* hotel which is Mellinium Broadway @180/night. Although I thought I could do better bid but hope this would help in giving you some info.
